Parliament Membership –
Terms and Conditions

INTRODUCTION
These Parliament Membership Terms & Conditions apply specifically to holders of a Laughing Owl Whisky Parliament seat. They should be read in conjunction with our Store Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which together set out the full terms of your relationship with Laughing Owl Whisky.

SECTION 1 – MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW
The Laughing Owl Whisky “Parliament” is a limited membership programme with a total of 1,500 seats. Seats are offered across three pricing tiers (NZD $150, $200, $250), with 500 seats available in each tier. Each membership seat is linked to one individual (“Member”).

SECTION 2 – ELIGIBILITY
By purchasing a seat, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or the legal drinking age in your country of residence. Membership is not available to individuals who do not meet these requirements.

SECTION 3 – MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Members are entitled to the benefits outlined at purchase, which include (but are not limited to):
- One numbered inaugural release bottle of Laughing Owl Whisky.
- Exclusive Laughing Owl merchandise.
- Access to member-only updates, communications, and events.

We reserve the right to update or amend benefits at any time. Where changes are made, the overall value of membership benefits will remain equal to or greater than the original offering.

SECTION 4 – PAYMENT AND REFUNDS
Memberships must be paid in full at the time of purchase. All prices are stated in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST, unless otherwise specified. All membership sales are final and non-refundable, except as required under New Zealand consumer law.

SECTION 5 – TRANSFER AND RESALE
Membership seats may be transferred or resold in the future only through an approved process, which will be communicated to Members in due course. Transfers or resales may be subject to a royalty or administrative fee payable to Laughing Owl Whisky. Any unauthorised resale or transfer may result in cancellation of the membership without refund.

SECTION 6 – MEMBERSHIP DURATION
Memberships are ongoing, unless cancelled under these Terms. We reserve the right to discontinue or amend the Parliament programme with at least 90 days’ notice to Members.

SECTION 7 – COMMUNICATIONS
By joining, Members consent to receive communications relating to their membership, including updates, product release information, and member benefits. Members may opt out of marketing communications; however, essential operational updates will continue to be sent.

SECTION 8 – MEMBER CONDUCT
Members are expected to engage respectfully with the brand and with fellow Members. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel membership where abusive, unlawful, or fraudulent behaviour is identified.

SECTION 9 – LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from membership. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

SECTION 10 – AMENDMENTS
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time by posting a revised version on our website. Continued participation in the Parliament constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.

SECTION 11 – GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions and any disputes relating to membership shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
